NSW Judge of Appeal to speak on company law and trusts.

Join Melbourne Law School for the upcoming Harold Ford Memorial Lecture on Wednesday, 20 November 2024.

This year’s lecture, titled 'Company law and trusts law: The use and misuse of principle,' will be delivered by Justice Mark Leeming, Judge of Appeal of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. The lecture will explore the development of modern company law and the nuanced relationship between company directors and trustees, with a focus on how these principles are applied in litigation, particularly in cases involving the recovery of company property improperly disposed of by directors.

Pre-lecture refreshments will begin at 5:15 pm, followed by the lecture from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm. This free event will be held at the David P. Derham Theatre in the Law Building at the University of Melbourne.
